Still have valuable data files on old 100 MB or 250 MB Zip Cartridges (MS-DOS formatted) or the more recent 750 MB Zip Cartridges laying around and want to 'rescue' and archive their content or transfer the data to CD DVD or other media but don't have the equipment to read them? (For Mac formated Zip Disks, click here).

1. Send us your old PC DOS formatted zip media
2. We'll read the data off them and send it back to you in CD or DVD format
3. For total data less than 650 MB, a CD will be created . Larger data sets may be on CD or DVD.

Send your zip media, the Data Submission Form (below), and the correct fee to the address listed on the form.

Please number and mark your zip disks 1, 2, 3, ... and make / keep (for your own use) an inventory list of your disks, so that you know the content of disk 1, 2, ... etc.

Be sure you include your valid email address. Your data is copied to CD or DVD, depending on final data set size.

We will read your disks and transfer their content into a numbered folder, one folder for each disk, named Disk1, Disk2 ..., etc.

The folders will be mastered to CD or DVD, depending on the final total amount of data transfered.

We will notify you via email when your job is completed with a tracking number of your CD/DVD shipment.

If you would like your original zip disks and zip cartirdges returned to you instead of being destroyed at the end of the job, you MUST request this and please enclose an additional shipping fee as listed on the submission form. If you do not specifically request that your original zip media be returned with the newly created CD/DVD, your original zip media will be destroyed and discarded.

Your media and data is strictly confidential. We do not keep any copies of your data files.

Please be aware that your zip discs are very old now and that we therefore cannot guarantee that your old disks will be technically readable at all. In case that some of your zip disks are technically unreadable, we will send you an email about this fact. ("Unable to read and recover the content of disk 1"). Because we will try hard on every disk, no handling or processing fees can be refunded.

We can read both 100 MB and 250 MB zip cartridges as well as the larger 750 MB zip cartridges. If they are not DOS formatted but have other formats (CP/M, Mac), we offer to investigate, how a specific format can be read.

Please note that this Disk Copy Service is for standard format "PC" or "IBM" "Windows" formats. Other media formatting should be submitted using the standard Data Recovery Submission Form. If these formats are submitted for Standard Disk Copy Service, we will make an attempt to read them, yet cannot guarantee the results.
